The informal atmosphere at HMU and seminar work in small groups enable you to make good contact with your fellow German students so that you can settle in quickly.

Application for incomings
If you would like to study at HMU for one or two semesters, please send the following documents as one file in PDF format to the International Office.
- HMU Application Form (on request)
- current official transcript of records
- Your course selection (Learning Agreement)
- Proof of sufficient German language skills (at least level B2 CEFR)
- Copy of identity card / passport
- 1 photo
- Proof of sufficient health insurance cover
Application deadlines: June 1 for the winter semester / December 1 for the summer semester
Students of a university with which HMU has a cooperation agreement should ask the International Office of their home university about the current regulations on tuition fees at HMU.
Freemover students can find the current tuition fees on the pages of the relevant degree programs. If you would like to complete a full Bachelor's or Master's degree at HMU and obtain a degree, first find out about the applicable admission requirements. Pay particular attention to visa requirements and the necessary language certificates. You are welcome to apply as a regular full-time student.
Course selection
The language of instruction at HMU is German, which is why international students must provide proof of German language proficiency of at least B2 (according to CEFR). You can choose from the entire range of modules offered by HMU, subject to an examination if necessary. The International Office can send you a list of courses if required.
